The Robinson House, in partnership with the Dallas Metroplex Council of Black Alumni Associations (DMCBAA), proudly announces the 2025 DFW HBCU Alumni Heritage Scholarship. This impactful initiative, funded entirely through proceeds from the annual DFW HBCU Alumni 5K, continues its tradition of supporting local students pursuing higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Since its inception in 2019, the DFW HBCU Alumni 5K has raised $27,500, assisting 43 Dallas/Fort Worth area students in pursuing their educational dreams at HBCUs nationwide. This remarkable achievement demonstrates our community's dedication to fostering academic excellence and preserving the rich heritage of HBCUs.
For the 2025 academic year, multiple scholarships will be awarded to qualified students from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled at an accredited HBCU. These one-time awards are designed to assist students in pursuing higher education and contribute to the continuing legacy of HBCU excellence.
Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to recipients upon verification of enrollment at an accredited HBCU. The DMCBAA is now accepting applications for this prestigious opportunity.
