Join us for the 7th Annual DFW HBCU Alumni 5K, celebrating our 2025 theme, Legacy in Motion. Hosted by The Robinson House Foundation in partnership with the Dallas Metroplex Council of Black Alumni Associations, this vibrant community event funds the DFW HBCU Alumni Heritage Scholarship, which has awarded $27,500 to 38 deserving students since 2019.
The DFW HBCU Alumni 5K unites the spirit of HBCU pride with the power of community health, fostering relationships while promoting active lifestyles. Participants will experience the energy of HBCU culture through our DJ, spirited competition, and a vendor marketplace featuring health and wellness products, fitness resources, HBCU and Divine Nine merchandise, and more! Before and after the race, participants come together in the Alumni Connection Zone where local alumni associations set up tents and fellowship.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, your presence helps sustain our commitment to educational excellence. Every step taken directly supports the next generation of HBCU scholars.
Come move with purpose. Come celebrate heritage. Come be part of our Legacy in Motion!

VENDOR REGISTRATION
Registration closes in 1 month 3 days-
The vendor area will be on the event's Grand Lawn. As a vendor, you must supply your own: 10' x 10' tent or smaller, tables and chairs, and power source (e.g. battery pack, small generator), if required. The Grand Lawn does not offer power outlets. We recommend that vendors bring their own hand cart, dolly, or wagon to transport items from the parking lot to the Grand Lawn event space, as there is a travel distance between the two areas. Please prepare accordingly for load-in and load-out logistics. Vendors may begin set up at 5:30 am the day of the event. Participant check-in will begin at 6:00 am, and the race will begin at 7:30 am. Vendor tear-down must be completed no later than 11 am.

This route is perfect for both walkers and runners of all levels. You'll enjoy scenic views as you navigate around two (2) of The Epic's man-made lakes, and breeze past the Hilton Garden Inn and the Grand Prairie Police Department. Before you know it, you'll be back where you started, feeling refreshed and accomplished. With a start and finish at the same spot, this loop is as convenient as it is enjoyable.

Challenge yourself on this varied 5K course at The Epic! You'll start with the 1K loop around two scenic lakes, perfect for warming up. Then, the route kicks it up a notch with a break off behind the Grand Lawn to three gradually ascending hills - nothing too steep, but enough to give your legs a good workout.
As you continue behind The Epic, you'll reach the halfway point marked by a water station. This is your turnaround spot, so grab a quick drink before heading back. On the return leg, as you approach the Grand Lawn you cut right to repeat the initial lake loop. This familiar terrain is a great opportunity to pick up your pace if you have energy left.
This course offers a mix of flat areas and mild inclines, making it suitable for both experienced runners looking to test their speed and casual participants who prefer a steady walk. The route is well-marked and starts and finishes at the same location for convenience.
Whether you're aiming for a personal best or just enjoying the outdoors, this 5K provides a satisfying challenge without being overly difficult. Come prepared for a bit of a push, but know that with a positive attitude, this course is conquerable by all!
